Downtown Pride Day Clean-up Scheduled for May 11
Volunteers Sought to Assist with Clean-Up

On May 11 at 8AM the Downtown Development Alliance, Inc. in conjunction with the City of  Janesville will hold Downtown Pride Day, an annual event to clean-up downtown Janesville. Activities will include painting, weeding, trimming, trash and debris removal, and the cleaning of downtown parks, parking lots and general street areas.  All merchants, property owners and Janesville citizens are invited to join your downtown neighbors for a day of camaraderie, fresh air, picnic lunch and finish the day with a renewed sense of ‘Pride’ in your downtown. The rain date is May 18.

Work and crew assignments will be given behind Olde Towne Mall. Donuts and coffee will be available in the morning as assignments are made. Lunch is provided for all volunteers and will be served at Firehouse Park located on N. Main Street across from the M & I Bank. Those that can’t attend the work day, but wish to join the group for lunch may do so for a cost of $5 per person.

Volunteers should plan to bring their own gloves and may feel free to bring other tools or brooms; however, tools will be provided for use during the clean-up.
